Beginning his career in the entertainment industry 15 years ago, Karis Wilde is a multi-disciplinary artist who started working in design at 17 years old for artists including Marilyn Manson, The Queens Of The Stone, and most recently with Janet Jackson as the Director of design for music video “Dammn Baby.”

 

As an androgynous and queer performance artist, Karis has naturally grown to defy boundaries across all platforms. Most notable for his Hoola Hoop artistry, Karis’ talent has provided him the opportunity to work and perform with an elite clientele including Madonna, Christina Aguilera, CFDA Vogue Fashion, Scissor Sisters, Katy Perry and Pink. Gracing the stages of Madison Square Garden, Sundance Film Festival, Hartera Festival (Croatia), The Gay Games in Europe (Köln), Caesars Palace (Las Vegas), The Fillmore (San Francisco) and Rai Convention Center (Amsterdam). Karis was recently shot by Wolfgang tillmans the video was shown as part of wolfgang exhibition at the Tate modern in London.

 

Karis’ identity is now in high demand and can be seen partnered with several brands and labels, including; Sephora, Givenchy, Diesel, Magnum Ice-Cream, Vodafone, Epilady for Philips Electronic. And her most recent campaign being the face of Secret Deodorant, which continues to garner a lot of attention for breaking down gender roles using the tag line “there’s no wrong way to be a woman.”
